Articulated Trucks
Also known as Flexi or Bendi machines, pivot steer trucks have an articulated mast that makes them multifunctional. This eliminates double handling of loads as well as optimising storage space in the warehouse.
Pivot steer training is tailored to cover relevant applications from stacking full pallets in narrow aisles to working in yards, unloading lorries.
Counterbalance Trucks
Counterbalance trucks are the most common type of fork lift in use in the UK and are the workhorse of most materials handling operations.
Training on their safe and efficient use is delivered on all sizes and capacities from small, manoeuvrable electric 3 wheelers right through to 50,000kg capacity diesel machines.
Multi-Directional Trucks
Multi-directional trucks offer a one truck solution for handling longer loads across a variety of environments. They are versatile, with the facility to travel in any direction without turning the truck, including diagonally. This means, for example, that they can operate in narrower aisles where reach trucks are unable to turn to exit the aisle once they have retrieved a load.
Pallet Stackers
Pallet stackers enable operators to carry out the same activities as standard pedestrian pallet trucks but with the additional capability of stacking and destacking goods at height. These are often used as a smaller, cheaper and more convenient alternative to traditional reach and counterbalance trucks.
Pallet Trucks
Pallet trucks come in many forms and can be pedestrian or rider operated or in some cases both, with a stand on platform.
We train on all makes and models from manual hand pallet trucks and low level order pickers through to ride on powered pallet trucks.
Reach Trucks
When used to their full potential, reach trucks can bring down costs per pallet stored by enabling reduced aisle widths.
Training on the safe and effective use of reach trucks is delivered throughout all industry sectors, and across variants developed for more specialist applications (for example, multi-directional, outdoor use, high bay working with CCTV).
Rider Transportable Trucks
Rider transportable lift trucks mounted on the back of lorries are an increasingly common addition to many fleets, developed to facilitate to the unloading of goods on delivery. They are commonly referred to by manufacturers’ names such as Moffett Mounty, Kooi-Aap or Manitou, amongst others.
Rider transportable fork lift training covers safe and efficient operation as well as the mount and dismount procedure from the truck’s host vehicle.
CPC Approved Course
As a registered training provider for the Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC), we also offer rider transportable training courses approved by the Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training (JAUPT) with hours eligible towards the required five yearly quota.
Sideloader Trucks
Sideloaders are designed to handle long loads over significant travel distances, leading them to become widely used throughout the timber and steel industries.
Sideloader training provides delegates the skills and knowledge required to make full use of the machine’s key features: optimum space utilisation and improved load stability when travelling.
Telescopic Handlers
Telescopic handlers provide a more versatile alternative to the traditional masted counterbalance truck, offering both forward and vertical reach and greater lift heights.
Training is available on all truck types including industrial, rough terrain and 360 degree telehandlers as well as a wide range of attachments.
Very Narrow Aisle Trucks
Very Narrow Aisle trucks are used for stacking loads, medium and high level order picking or in some instances both functions.
Their unique feature is their steering method. VNA trucks are normally only steered by the operator when transferring from one stacking aisle to another. Once in the aisle the trucks are automatically guided by wire or rail.
Training is available on both man up and man down trucks and is tailored to cover all functions relevant to delegates’ equipment type, working environment and job role.
Attachment Training
Accredited training delivered on a variety of fork lift attachments, such as clamps, rotators and buckets.
Courses cover the safe fitting and use of the attachment, including the consideration of any effects it will have on the truck and it’s operation.
Fork Lift Instructor Training
Fully accredited instructor courses for companies wishing to carry out accredited training, using their own instructors.
Courses are delivered on all types of fork lift truck and are designed to provide certified operators with the relevant skills and knowledge to be able to train others to use the lift truck/s safely and efficiently.
